Conference dinner

The conference banquet dinner will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), 510 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203.

Happy hour and self-guided museum tours begin at 18:00, followed by a plated dinner at 19:00.

Two complimentary drink tickets (white) are provided per guest, and a cash bar is available for additional purchases.

Please bring your conference badge — it is required for entry.

Getting there

The museum is downtown, about 3 km from the Vanderbilt campus and Midtown hotels. You can take the WeGo public bus (about $2), a rideshare or Waymo robotaxi (about 10–15 minutes), or walk (about 35–40 minutes along Broadway).

By public bus (WeGo)

The fare is 2 dollars for two hours of rides, capped at 4 dollars for the whole day as long as you tap the same card. Tap a contactless credit/debit card or phone on the validator as you board (no cash needed), or use the WeGo QuickTicket app.

Option 1 — on West End:

  1. Board WeGo Route 3 toward Downtown and ride to 8th Ave S & Broadway Ave (northbound).
  2. Walk about 7 min (~500 m / 0.3 mi) to the museum. Total trip: about 30 minutes.

Option 2 — from the Kimpton Aertson Hotel area:

  1. Go to the stop at 21st Ave S & Grand Ave (northbound), in front of the Chipotle near the hotel.
  2. Board WeGo Route 7 northbound toward Downtown and ride 7 stops to 8th Ave S & Broadway Ave (northbound).
  3. Walk about 7 min (~500 m / 0.3 mi) to the museum. Total trip: about 24 minutes.

Buses on these corridors run roughly every 10–15 minutes, but evening frequencies vary, so check live arrivals before you set out (links below).

By rideshare or robotaxi

Uber and Lyft operate throughout Nashville. From Vanderbilt or Midtown the trip is about 3 km and usually 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic. Waymo autonomous robotaxis also now operate in Nashville, covering both Midtown and downtown Broadway; download the Waymo app to ride (no waitlist as of June 2026). Lower Broadway is often congested in the evening, so your driver or robotaxi may drop you a block or two from the entrance.

On foot

From the Vanderbilt campus or Midtown hotels it is about 3 km, roughly a 35–40 minute walk, mostly straight along Broadway.
