SARA Tier-1 Site Report - 26 March 2007 ========================================= This week we had a lot of problems with the dcache gridftp doors. We found out that it was not due to the well-known issue of clients closing down unexpectedly. A little while ago one of our pool nodes broke down resulting in data loss (of disk-only data) due to a corrupted file system. I have informed the experiments involved of the missing surls. However, LFCs have not been updated and the entries have not been remove from pnfs and still transfers are being issued involving those files. The files are still present in pnfs but are not on any one of the pools. The result is that those gridftp transfers hang forever taking a login which eventually block access to the gridftp door. We are in contact at the moment with the dcache developers on how to resolve this issue.
