Meeting Minutes – 25 October 2024

Updates from the Steering Committee (Provided by Michele):

• Collaboration Board: The board has been officially established.
• Collaboration Chair: Attilio Andreazza has been elected as the Collaboration Chair.
• Membership Updates: DRD 7 is open to new members.
• For DRD 7.6b, two institutes have requested to switch from observer to contributor status:
• CNM
• Fermilab/SLAC
• Policy for New Projects:
• Proposals must be presented to DRD 7 by at least three institutes with clearly defined FTEs (Full-Time Equivalents) and financial support.
• Proposals are to be submitted to the Collaboration Board.
• Opportunities to present new projects will occur annually or periodically.

Technology Roadmap for DRD 7.6b (Presented by Laci):

• The first "PathFinder" prototype has been defined.
• It involves a complex double-interposer integrating several critical technologies, including:
• Redistribution Layers (RDL) with one or multiple metal layers and dielectric.
• Fine-pitch bumping and less aggressive bumping technologies.
• Flip-chipping techniques.

Decisions and Actions:

• DRD 7.6b collaboration will hold periodic meetings every one to two months.
• The next meeting is scheduled for January in Barcelona (in-person).
• Michele will prepare a shared Excel file for all partners.
• The file will include information on in-house processes and infrastructures.
• It will be treated as a dynamic document, updated throughout the lifetime of DRD 7.6b.
