Description
The SHiP experiment will search for new physics at the intensity frontier, particularly for feebly interacting particles. Full simulation of the signal and background is crucial to reach the planned sensitivity and to refine the subsystem designs for their TDRs. Besides standard event generators and Geant4, custom approaches are used for the efficient simulation of the thick target and EvtCalc is used for the simulation of the vast number of BSM signals.
In addition to full simulation, the collaboration is using and studying several fast simulation approaches to complement full simulation for specific use cases, including normalising flows, GANs and classical fast simulation.
To future-proof the simulation framework for the next three decades and support more and more detailed subsystem designs, the collaboration is currently evaluating different detector description frameworks, with a migration foreseen for this year.
This contribution will summarise the design and future directions of the SHiP simulation framework and geometry as the collaboration prepares for construction and data taking.
