        • Previous meeting (07/11/2024)

          • Attendance

            • E. Balci, M. Gonzalez Berges, S. Jackson, M. Gasior, M. Dolenc, D. Alves

      •

        •  Capture (mostly used by the OMC team)
          • Sw trigger
            • Working? Yes
          • Hw trigger
            • Working? Yes
          • There was a problem with the buffering mechanism
            • Manuel fixed it in the development version but the problem still exists in the deployed version
              • Update [10/10/2024]: version with the fix was used during an MD but not left running operationaly - part of a broader set of changes. AGREED TO DEPLOY OPERATIONALLY DURING EYETS'24/25 only on std BPMs
              • Update [10/10/2024]: Manuel reported observation that some DOROS boxes can only be triggered once. When triggered a 2nd time it doesn't work and require a sw reset [UDP flags disappearing?]. Can be reproduced in the lab - to be investigated by Manuel and Miha
                • Update [24/10/2024] - still to be investigated by Manuel and Miha
              • Update [24/10/2024] - Flag that says that the box is connected to the BST is not 100% reliable - to be followed up by Marek and Miha
        • Freeze (linked to "PM on-demand" functionality)
          • Sw trigger
            • Working? Yes
          • Hw (BST) trigger
            • Working?
              • Update [11/07/2024]: Manuel and Miha and Marek agreed that the BST capture and freeze are to be implemented as the same thing just configured with a different parameter
                • Ongoing effort (Miha + Manuek) debugging unexpected behavior - understood
                • Test to be done in the lab (using a signal generator) where 1 system is set to capture and the other set to freeze and validate that the data is continuous
                  • Update [20/09/2024]: Marek will re-setup the lab system after fiber re-installations - done and now we have 4 DOROS boxes in the lab (2 connected to the same generator) - Done
                  • Update [10/10/2024]: Manuel planning to do a freeze on 1 box and a capture on another and make sure that the sinewave (both inputs coming from the same output of a signal generator) is continuous
                    • Update [24/10/2024] - still to be done
        • Locking the gain during VdM scans
          • issue with event subscription to lumi server (Sat 18th May) has been fixed
          • proper fix should be done at the CCDE level, but either putting the subscription on one of the ordinary devices or having a script that makes sure that the on-subscription event is in the instance file could also be done as a temporary measure to guarantee the quality of the data for the experiments
            • Update [11/07/2024]: implemented in CCDE so, not an issue anymore
        • Update (11/07/2024): In one of the MDs in MD3 they want to use capture -> request is to have SDDS files to be analysed. Trigger has to be BST. Tested on the BI side for now but will be soon tested together with ABP
          • Update [11/07/2024]: Agreed to evaluate whether this version works and aim for deploying it for good during the next TS
          • Output format to be delivered to and processed by ABP
            • Update [20/09/2024]: Ongoing work [Manuel]
            • Update [10/10/2024]: Javier developed a UCAP node to create HDF5 files used by ABP to analyse data offline - small issue to discuss whether the re-arming should be automatic (could be implemente either in UCAP or FESA or anywhere else) ... this is not critical at all
        • Outlook for DOROS sw work
          • Quantify the RT performance of the FESA class
            • An idea would be to use Mathieu's python code which inspects (calculates statistics) the navigator's UDP diagnostics packets from the FESA class
              • Update [11/07/2024]: Elif will have to change Mathieu's python script that uses FESA diagnostics to do an RT characterization of any FESA class
              • Update [10/10/2024]: Elif showed diagnostics timestamps data, from lab systems, saved to csv files using Mathieu's script - GOAL IS TO REPEAT THIS EXERCISE DURING THE EYETS24/25 TO CHARACTERISE (RT) OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS
          • Chart present design and propose refurbishment
            • [11/07/2024]: Elif has started making UML diagrams of the DOROS class using a script of her own + DrawIO. Ongoing work
            • Update [20/09/2024]: Elif will finalise UML diagrams and is working on Mathieu's RT perfomance diagnostics tool
            • Update [10/10/2024]: Elif showed UML diagrams on the present code. The analysis will continue and, depending on her availability (work on SoC + HL BPMs), a new code structure may be proposed
