Abstract: The production of top-antitop quark pairs ($t\bar{t}$) in association with additional 𝑏-jets is a key process for understanding quantum chromodynamics in multi-scale environments and serves as a crucial background for Higgs and new physics searches. This seminar presents the latest ATLAS measurements of $t\bar{t}$ production with additional 𝑏-jets, using the full Run 2 dataset of 140 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions at =13 TeV. The focused on the dilepton (𝑒𝜇) final state with at least three or four 𝑏-jets, and reports fiducial cross-sections at the particle level, both integrated and differentially measured as functions of key kinematic variables. The results provide a stringent test of next-to-leading-order theoretical predictions, revealing discrepancies in their description of certain observables. These measurements offer new insights into heavy-flavor production mechanisms and set the stage for future precision studies in Run 3.
