ADTC meeting
Francois presented the summary of the follow-up for the YETS activities.
The AD ring activities are coming near the end: the BHN17 dipole magnet was re-installed in the ring 2 days in advance, vacuum sector 2B is now closed and leak-tight. The baking will start tomorrow (at 30°C), waiting for cooling water to come back on Monday as planned.
The bake-out process will last 2 weeks, and we expect to have finished operations in line with the planned schedule. The pick-up in QFN26 can be re-installed after BO equipment removal on the 19th of March.
The cooling of the BCCCA current comparator has been delayed due to the Cryo plant maintenance. No impact on other activities.
The stochastic cooling is in progress, IST’s expected to start as of the 5th March.
Other systems IST remain as planned (RF, Septa, kickers).
ELENA ring activities are complete, the ion source maintenance is complete and will be restarted 48h hours after the cooling water is back to let the quality settle. The systems are being restarted to allow Hminus circulation as of the 5th March. Day time only (8:30 – 17h30). Exact time to be confirmed with BASE.
GBAR will not be ready to take beam before 10th of March.
TELMAX: installation of the cooling water distribution is ongoing, which is the last item to be fitted. PAX collaboration will test a new TES detector early in May.
AOB: Access along LNE05 (ACACUSA 2) is very narrow due to the installation of a new laser. J. Devine will check with HSE if this is acceptable.
