ICHEP 2026: Newsletter #5 (July 28th, 2026)
We wish you a smooth trip to Natal! Please find below some more announcements and reminders.
1. The conference timetable is available at https://indico.cern.ch/event/1522800/timetable. As small adjustments may still occur, speakers should regularly check the schedule of their contribution. For any questions, please contact the Program Committee at ichep2026-program-committee@cern.ch.
2. Please take a close look at the guide to Natal prepared by our LOC before traveling: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1522800/page/43797-natal-guide.
3. Please take note of emergency contacts: Farinaldo Queiroz: +55 84 988732423 and Gabi Hoff: +55 51 98714374. We are also always checking the official ICHEP email: ichep2026@cbpf.br.
4. Poster presentations: Posters will be presented during the scheduled poster sessions at the PraiaMar Hotel. Afterwards, all posters will be moved by the LOC to the Convention Center, where they will remain on display for the rest of the conference.
5. The floor plan for the two venues are available at the HEPCon App and Indico page: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1522800/page/39673-floor-plan.
6. A book of abstracts is now available in the Indico page: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1522800/book-of-abstracts.pdf.
7. There will be an early registration period on July 29 starting at 3pm until 8pm at the PraiaMar Convention Center. We strongly recommend early registration if possible. The registration desk will be always open during the conference hours.
8. You will receive the conference bag, badge and vouchers for the three lunches and the conference dinner (if you purchased them) during registration.
9. Please use your badge at all times during the conference, including the reception.
10. LOC members will have badges identifying them - please feel free to approach.
11. There will be staff wearing conference T-shirts to assist participants.
12. Instructions for uploads of talks in the Indico platform can be found at https://indico.cern.ch/event/1522800/page/43519-instructions-for-speakers. Please upload your talk no later than the day before your presentation.
13. In addition to the restaurants listed in the webpage (https://ichep2026.org/restaurants-near-the-convention-centers.html) the PraiaMar hotel has a buffet-style restaurant.
14. The welcome reception will take place in the "Beach Club” space across the street from the PraiaMar hotel on July 30, weather permitting.
15. The conference bag was crafted from natural cotton and jute, carefully selected to support more sustainable practices.
16. Inside the bag you will find a handcrafted sand bottle created with layers of colored sand applied one by one, celebrating the artisanal heritage of Northeastern Brazil. See some pictures below.
17. We plan to have some artcraft demonstrations at the Natal Convention Center of traditional knitting and sand-bottle making by local artisans.
