In Switzerland
Jardin des Particules creche and kindergarten
CERN-based Jardin des Particules offers short-term child care, contingent on availability of places, for children up to 6 years of age. Care is available per day (for children from 2 years on), per week, or longer term.
Due to limitations in capacity the JdP is currently accepting short-term care assignments for children in the 5-6 age group only.
Chaperon Rouge agency
The Chaperon Rouge agency will engage a Red-Cross-trained child minder over the age of 16 to provide childcare at a location of your choice in Geneva. Fees are means-based.
University of Geneva student job forum
Uni-emploi forum is an online notice board that connects students from the University of Geneva with people requiring services e.g. child minding. Note they have a recommended fee structure for service providers engaged using their site.
In France
Jardin du Capucine crèche
The Jardin de Capucine is a bilingual French/English crèche located in neighbouring St Genis Pouilly, which provides occasional care for children between the ages of 4 months and 4 years. Their fee structure can be found here.

Care providers listed as 'assistante maternelle agréé' are certified by the state to provide childcare at their homes. It is within your rights to ask to see their certification in order to verify the following information:
- presence of the logo of the certifying authority (e.g. 'Conseil départemental' in France) on the certificate;
- the total number of children the childminder is certified to care for;
- date of validity of the certification.
