Description

Advances in numerical methods now enable versatile studies of 1+1 dimensional, potentially relativistic, models. In this talk I will review recent results on dynamics and the role of quantum correlations in different contexts. I will show how string breaking in 1+1 QED leads to a thermal medium, and how this thermalization process is driven by entanglement. I will also show how these methods can be used to study particle production induced by an expanding metric in the non-perturbative regime.
