Meeting 30 April
The Task Force was identified as also a mean to exchange more logistical information, including on more immediate events (ex:Cine Globe).
More communication coordination could be made regarding events which don’t exactly fall into the category of the public event season (ex: CineGlobe, FCC meeting on 27 Mai, Foire internationale La Roche sur Foron, new exhibit at the Globe, STELLAR). More generally, a more detailed procedure needs to be put in place regarding the standardisation of the promotion of events.
One difficulty is that for historical reasons, some events are under the responsibility of SG. One next step is for us to work closer towards harmonising these events into the wider local communication channels.
Comments on the Public Event season:
- We need to reinforce the “fil rouge” of the Youth season, to build a story around it, which would serve all the stakeholders of the Event Task Force
- We are waiting for more information on the AI event of 9 September, to be sent to Arnaud and the Public Event Advisory Board
- Several events of the SG educational offers could be integrated to the season, including:
- Dans la peau de Scientifique
- Codez la Science
- Devoxx for Kids
- Django girls
- We also need to consider the CERN art summiy
- It was noted that CERN’s participation at La Cite des Metiers would be a vital point to include in the communication of the season
Two ideas were suggested for the next season:
ACTIONS (from short term to long term)
By 10 May
1. SG to share an updated calendar of events, the ones they wish to include in the “youth” season.
2. TSP: invited to also share events which could be included into the season
3. Dante to provide an updated calendar , trying to identify some which have potential for a workshop
By 20 May
1. Dante to provide an updated concept of the season
2. All: identification of events which are prone to being connected to a workshop
By June
1. Reflections on more systematic integration of other events (ex: CineGlobe or STELLAR) into the local communication channels
