We kindly ask that you fill out a very short survey to aid us in working towards a recommendation for a new color palette for ATLAS plots that can best serve the community, with particular attention to those with color-vision deficiency (aka “color blindness”).
A small task force of ATLAS collaborators affected by varying degrees of color-vision deficiency was formed to undertake research into optimal color palette choices. This included surveying scientific literature on the issue, looking at choices that have been made by other scientific collaborations, and using their own judgement. Four options have been identified as being as ideal as possible.
Example plots using the selected four color palette options are included in the attached slides. Please reference them when filling out the anonymous survey below.
