Description
The Askaryan Calorimeter Experiment (ACE) utilizes coherent microwave Cherenkov radiation from showers passing through dielectric-loaded waveguides, enabling ultra-fast and radiation-hard detection of high-energy charged particles. While ACE technology has been successfully applied to PeV-to-EeV neutrino astronomy, this presentation explores its potential as an advanced beam instrumentation tool. We highlight its upcoming application in the Mu2e experiment, where a modified version of ACE (mACE) will be employed, and discuss its potential use in next-generation accelerator technologies, including muon colliders.
