FCC-ee 1:1 mock-up weekly meeting

Here are some notes and actions regarding today’s meeting.

• HSE à
• Link to the whole EDMS file: FCC-ee arc half-cell mock-up | Project CERN-0000264682
• A lot of actions are underway in terms of safety, mainly followed by Jerome and Fede.
• Building 355-358 à
• IRP due diligence: the document is in engineering check” status IRP-DD-0355_0358-FCC mock-up and storage for RF equipment | Document 3179974 (v.0.3)
• The ground motion measurements are finished, need to check with David the results.
• Denis Pazem sent an estimation for the PCB stripping:

Local treatment is possible – 6-8kCHF for 2 to 3 days

Entire structure for the mock-up 180m2 – 28-30kCHF for 2 to 3 weeks (attention not considering the “reagrage”)

Seeing the price and time, it could be interesting to consider doing the entire area to keep the flexibility of anchoring.

• The BE-GM team is preparing the building to do the “marquage au sol” beginning of next week.
• SCE is doing the inspection visit on the crane (impact IMPACT - Activity 252477 - B.355 Sécurisation acces pont…)
• Yannick organised a VIC next week 05/05.
• Mock-up structure à
• The calculation report has been updated following Marco Andreini comments.
• Nicolas did the calculations for the middle booster support. For the mock-up, we can validate the design + it will be useful for the wood magnets. But for the machine it seems that if we want this support to be worthwhile, it will be needed to modify the positions of the supports.
• Need to choose between granite and concrete feet below the collider girder.
• For the mock-up envelope, it will be easier for installation + safer to install metal sheets rather than wood panels. OK for metal sheets!
• Ordering components inside the mock-up à
• GIRDER: Need to organise the meeting.
• MAGNETS: 1^st offer from M. Leger in Saint Jean de Gonville. Emeric and Audrey had a meeting with M. Lerch, he had questions to be able to finalise the offer. He will normally send this offer end of this week.
• VACUUM CHAMBER: Need to relaunch Fabrice to have the step files and/or ST numbers.
• BOOSTER SUPPORT: Need to check the drawings.
• JACKS: No precise date from Philippe. + we should define the tests.
• CV systems: Melvyn is still waiting for Inigo input for three components.
• EL systems: Need to think about how to represent the cables. Quantity? Sizes?

 

• Actions:
• Check the IRP due diligence -> Everyone
• Check with Raul the precise timeline for the replacement of the false floors -> Fede
• Ask Denis Pazem more info regarding the “reagreage”-> Audrey
• Check the results of ground motion with David -> Audrey
• Check with Roberto if the ongoing activities will be impacted by the intervention on the crane -> Fede DONE (it is ok, it is just a visit this week)
• Add Oriol Rios and/or Nicolas Malterre for the VIC visit (HSE team) -> Yannick
• Check the updates of the calculation report -> Fede
• Check with Luke, for the machine if the sag found for the booster dipoles are ok -> Nicolas, Audrey
• Check with Marc the preferred solution between granite and concrete feet -> Emeric (email sent)
• Check the drawings of the supports -> Marc
• Relaunch Fabrice for step files and/or ST numbers. -> Audrey
• Check the quantity and sizes of cables -> Melvyn
• Prepare poster for FCC week -> Fede
• Prepare presentation for FCC week -> Audrey
• Check the painting colours for the tunnel + magnets -> Fede (email sent)

• Pending/Ongoing actions:
• Check dimensions needed for the fire door with Damien Lafarge, then try to find a standard one with Jordi and Yannick -> Melvyn

• Think about how to measure the 6m girder at CERN -> Emeric
• Inform Jeremie that the dipoles magnets will be shorter -> Audrey
• Launch drawing check for booster supports -> Emeric
• Think about the test procedure for the jacks -> Emeric, Marc, Fede, Hugo
• Organise a meeting with PAEC next week -> Emeric
• Continue the discussions for quotes and installation: doors, elec., fire etc. -> Jerome
• Prepare tender request for vacuum chamber -> Audrey, Emeric
