Agenda:

• Check on FE results for the two-parts pole. Discussion and decision on which solution to adopt.
• Definition of the gaps for the racetrack mock-up.
• Integration of the sliding system on the reaction mold. Integration on sarcophagus.
• Update on SS-bar mock-up tests with DIC.
• Update on racetrack coil mock-up and action items

Topic 1: SS-bar mock-up:

RHT launched with DIC system. Same cycle as in 927, it will be finished today.

Topic 2: Racetrack coil mock-up:

Components at 927. Installation in the winding machine on-going. We need to define the winding tension.

• For the winding tension, we decide to go for 20 kg (also for the ends).

For the MICA layers (and also later for the interlayer) we need to decide what we do and how we cut them. There is the option of cutting at 45 degrees.

• For the first mock-up we will not cut the MICA and we will cut elongated holes. We will check what happens. Two layers of MICA top and bottom. We will measure the torque closing the mold to have an idea on how tight we are.

We also need to decide how to fix the poles:

• For the first test, in the first pole we use one pin (one fixed point). In the second pole, on top of the sliding system, we use two slotted holes (equivalent to a free pole, moving freely axially)

We also need to decide if we put VAMAS and which RHT to launch.

• VAMAS are not needed
• For the RHT cycle we can use a RMC-QXF RHT cycle and adjust live in case of need (to accommodate for the different thermal inertia).

Topic 3: RHT gaps in the racetrack mock-up:

• 2 mm in the pole and 4 mm in the tooling

Topic 4: Two-pole parts 

• We will switch to a mechanical contact in top of the inner pole. We try to have 4 mm of pole thickness everywhere. New simulations to be performed.

Topic 5: Sliding system and sarcophagus.

• Solution 3 for both cases.
