Physics
On GPS, ⁸Li beams were delivered to VITO for measurements of lithium-ion diffusion in the bulk and interface of solid-state battery materials. Everything was in place to provide the radioactive beam as scheduled, but due to the robot problems, the experiment had to still begin with stable beam at that point. As a result, their run started with approximately one day of radioactive beam delay. Despite some initial troubleshooting, the run progressed relatively well overall and it marks a promising start to the project.
