Update

  • The ASFAP Open Symposium will take place at a different time and location.

  • Only ACP2025 will be organized during the period of September 14–20, 2025.

Lodging Accommodation

  • Prof. Amou updated us on the university dorm situation: 30 rooms will be made available for ACP2025 to support early-career participants.

  • The three suggested hotels have already been added to the ASP website with negotiated rates. However, the LOC should provide us with direct contacts for each hotel and the corresponding block reference numbers.

  • Prof. Amou also gave an update on the restaurant. We need to send him a list of dietary restrictions to allow proper planning.

  • Prof. Amou provided a brief update on the Reception (14/09/2025) and Conference Dinner (19/09/2025). The conference dinner will not be organized jointly with the 55th anniversary celebration of the University of Lomé. The venue will be provided by the university, which will also cover traditional entertainment.

Sessions and Invited Speakers

  • Kenneth will run a half-day Teachers’ Workshop on September 20, 2025.

  • Kate will also lead an ATLAS Open Data Training on the same day.

  • There is a suggestion to organize both events as a series rather than in parallel. This will be discussed further with the session leaders and the ACP2025 LOC.

  • Benard, Deepak, Ulrich, Sanae, and Funmi reported on their respective sessions.

  • We need to finalize the list of confirmed contributions so Diallo and Funmi can update their sessions accordingly. The final file will be shared with them.

  • There is one remaining invited talk in the Cross-Cutting session that has not yet been assigned a time slot. We will check with Esmeralda about moving it to the Earth Science session.

  • Natasa, from Physics Without Frontiers, shared that they are willing to organize an event (a condensed matter course on Density Functional Theory and Machine Learning) in Togo, to be held just before or after ACP2025 in September. Discussions are still ongoing, and they will keep us updated.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
