The Invisibles26 Workshop will take place at Sede Afundación.

We encourage you to stay until August 15th, as the workshop will run on the 14th with very interesting talks.

Note:
Depending on demand during the registration process (Travel Information section) free shuttle buses might be arranged for transfers as follows

  • From Santiago de Compostela to A Coruña (one at midday and another in the afternoon; exact departure times TBC), and

  • From Porto to A Coruña (departure time TBC).

 How to Get to A Coruña:

  • A Coruña Airport (LCG) - Located just 10 km from the city center (approx. 15 by car). Note: Limited international flights.

  • Santiago de Compostela International Airport (SCQ) - About 65 km away (approx. 1 hour by car from A Coruña). 

  • Porto Airport (OPO), Portugal - Roughly 300 km away (around 3 hours by car). Note: Offers many international connections.

  • Madrid Airport (MAD) to Madrid-Chamartín-Clara Campoamor (High speed RENFE rail) connection to A Coruña (just over 3.5 hours; tickets can be bought only 3 months in advance). Good frequent connections to A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela.


Getting from the A Coruña airport (LCG) to the city center

The LGC is 10 km from the city center. The simplest way is to take a taxi. A ride costs about €25 (incl. the airport supplement) and takes about 15 minutes. 
Otherwise, you can do the following (about 30-35 min):

  • By bus:

    - Line 4051/A4.-
    - The ticket cost is about €1,55. 
    - From Monday to Friday the bus only run every 30 mins starting at 5h00.
    - On Saturday it run every 60 min starting at 7h30. 

 

Getting from Santiago de Compostela airport (SCQ) to Coruña city

  • By taxi:

    The SCQ is 65 km away from A Coruña city center. A ride costs between €80 - €110 (incl. the airport supplement) and takes about 60 minutes.

  • By bus: 

    - Transportation enterprise MONBUS.
    - Ticket cost: €6,50 - €7.
    - Estimated duration: 60 minutes.
    - It is highly recommended to check the bus schedule in case you select this option.

  • By train: 

    1. From the airport to Santiago train station: 

    - Easiest option: take the intercity bus (Monbus line) that connects the airport with the city center of Santiago de Compostela.
    - Destination stop: Train Station (Santiago Intermodal Station).
    - Duration: approx. 20–25 minutes.
    - Frequency: every 20–30 minutes.
    - Price: around €2–3 (payable to the driver or by card).


    2. Train Santiago → A Coruña

    Direct trains to A Coruña depart from Santiago Intermodal Station.
    Journey time: 30–40 minutes (Avant or Media Distancia trains).
    Frequency: about once an hour during the day.
    Price: between €5 and €12 depending on train type and fare.
    Operator: Renfe.

 

 

Getting from the Student Residence Los Lagos to the venue

How to reach the Congress building by public transport:

Take city bus line 1A, which connects Matogrande with Los Cantones.

You will find the 1A bus stop about 120 meters from the Residence at the roundabout, in the direction of Abente y Lago / Puerta Real or Cantón it depends on the bus departure time.

The journey takes around 20 minutes.

Get off at the stop “Praza de Mina” (approximately 11 bus stops, about 16 minutes from the Residence).

From there, walk about 450 meters (6 minutes) to the Congress Building (Sede Afundación)

Getting from the Student Residence José Sardina to the venue

How to reach the Congress building by public transport:

- Walk about 5 min (350 m) to Av. de Fisterra, 31
- Take the city bus line 6 Hercules

The journey takes around 10 minutes
- Get off at the stop San Andrés, 121
- Walk about 5 min (400m) to Sede Afundación.
