Arriving at CERN Ideasquare
1. Public transport from Geneva main Train Station (Cornavin)
- Exit the train station by following the signs for “Tram 18, direction CERN”. Take care that the tram stop is not the one in front of the main entrance, but rather located on the right side (South) of the train station, under a bridge. Google Maps might not be accurate.
- Before boarding the tramway, make sure to buy a ticket at one of the vending machine.
- Exit the tramway at the last stop.
2. Public transport from Geneva Airport
- You will need to find the bus stop
- Once in the arrivals meeting area, turn right and walk to the end of the terminal (signposted P51), past the post office, Montreux Jazz cafe and the car rental desks. Exit the building and cross the coach drop-off area to find the bus stop for buses 23, 28, 56 and 57 going downhill.
- Once there, you have several bus options:
- Bus 57 direction “Gare de Meyrin”.
- Bus 56 direction “Meyrin, Hôpital de la Tour”.
- Bus 28 direction “Parfumerie”.
- Bus 23 direction “ZIPLO”.
- Whichever bus you are choosing, you must get off at the bus stop “Blandonnet” to, then, onboard the “Tram 18 direction “CERN”.
- Exit the tramway at the last stop.
3. By car
- You can drive your car all the way to the “CERN IdeaSquare parking lot” behind the Science Gateway. It is in the roundabout that is preceding the bridge Gateway. Then, follow the direction towards the CERN public parking. It is located on the same side of the big globe.
4. How to get to the door of CERN IdeaSquare
The CERN is a wide campus and CERN Ideasquare is just one of its building.
Once at the CERN tram stop, turn towards the large Globe of Science and Innovation. From there, you will see a big white container with the IdeaSquare logo. Follow the path and ring the doorbell, one of us will come to meet you at the entrance.
