Short prototype:

Peter: 

• currently, the prototype with HV board - HV cannot be increased to a required value (discharges)

 

Zdenko:

• testing different readout boards
• fast RO board - nice signals can be seen 
• signal 20-40mV, length <100ns, agrees with simulation

 

Intermediate prototype:

Tonio&François:

• test: 2200mm, 400g, 4.6mm with metallization, 5.6mm without metallization - is it the same material?

 

Long 124-straw prototype:

Vincent:

• removed cones from flanges - not needed
• removed machining from other flanges, thickness 3cm - gluing to be tested
• do need an area with different surface roughness under gas manifold, or a small trench
• keep naming (A, B) to distinguish the two sides of the detector, apply or HV boards too
• prepared a grounding half-ring soldered to copper cladded kapton foil (shielding, wrapped around the support tube)
• Francois will provide the dimensions for holes

 

Peter: 

• HV board can be send for production before Christmas, the last thing missing is a confirmation from Vincent that the extension of the board is OK
• need to add a feedthrough connector on the fixation plate

 

Zuzana:

• need to launch the production of crimp tubes with Minitubes
• need to launch the development of metallized plastic parts with DTI 

 

Hans:

• Tonio et Francois will test the gluing of straws in a thicker flange
• Rui will try to gold-plate plastic parts
