On GPS, post-accelerated ¹³²SnS beams are being delivered to Miniball to study the evolution of collectivity around the doubly magic shell closures at N = 82 and Z = 50. Producing these molecular SnS beams remains challenging, and in this run the isotope of interest is present but with more contamination than expected, which is contrary to the usual benefit of molecular beams. Despite this, the experiment is collecting good statistics, although additional tricks need to be applied to better determine the beam composition. The physicists are happy so far, and the run will continue until Friday.
