Like last year, this year too we we will have workshop proceedings, that will be published in the Proceedings Section of Journal of Instrumentation (JINST).
Submission of such a full proceedings paper is not mandatory. Submissions are possible for both oral and poster contributions, as well as for invited talks.
Preparing your contribution
When preparing your contribution please keep in mind the following points:
- JINST publishes on-line peer-reviewed scientific papers,
- Copyright will be transferred to the Institute of Physics Publishing,
- By definition, a scientific paper is expected to include some novel and original material,
- Please indicate clearly in your paper what this novel and original material is to make the task of reviewers easier,
- Please take your time to proof read the manuscript before submission and get all co-authors to review your manuscript before submission,
- Papers not meeting scientific and editorial standards of JINST will be rejected.
Submitting your contribution
Manuscripts should be preferably prepared in LaTeX in one of the following ways:
• using the template available on Overleaf
• using the package jinstpub.sty
Instructions for .docx submission will be forwarded in a separate .pdf file.
Kindly notice that the number of pages should not exceed 8 pages for contributed talks and posters, and 12 pages for invited talks.
Please pay attention to the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. coherent use of units, etc.)
When writing your contribution, in addition to the scientific quality and relevance of the subject matter, it is advisable also to check the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. incoherent use of unit of measure; different conventions used in the same paper such as abbreviations \3 s", \3 sec", \3 seconds" and position: \3C", \3 C"; poorly organized tables; etc.)
When your contribution is ready for submission, please follow the instructions below:

Connect to jinst.sissa.it, register (if needed) and login;
- In the "Submit" section of the page, select the link "submit a proceedings contribution"
- Select the TREDI 2026 conference from the list (this will be available from February 23, 2026)

In case of doubts, it is advisable to check with your institution (normally the library) about your internal policy and also you can always refer to the JINST Editorial Office;
6. Please let the Editorial Office know in advance if any of the figures included in your preprint is not original. To do so, you will find a button “write to Editorial Office” on your preprint web page, after submission.
