Early-Career Support

ISMD 2026 is pleased to offer support to a limited number of early-career researchers, with priority given to students, to encourage their participation in the symposium.

This support will cover all or part of the registration fee. Please note that travel and accommodation expenses are not included.

How to apply

To apply for early-career researcher support, please follow the steps below:

  1. Check the relevant box in the registration form.
You may do this either during registration or later by modifying your registration details.

  2. Submit the following documents to ismd2026@phy.ncu.edu.tw:
    a) your current CV
    b) a brief note indicating whether you have been accepted for a contribution (talk or poster) at ISMD 2026
Please make sure that both the email subject line and the file names include your first and last name.

  3. Ask your supervisor, advisor, or mentor to send a letter of support (maximum one page) to ismd206@phy.ncu.edu.tw. Please ensure that your first and last name is included in both the email subject line and the file name.

Early-career researcher support is not dependent on having an accepted contribution. However, priority will be given to applicants who have been accepted for a talk or poster. Support will primarily be awarded to students.

Supported researchers will be expected to assist during the symposium, for example, by helping session chairs manage microphones during Q&A sessions.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 17, 2026. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by June 30, 2026.
