Andrea naviga da sempre su tutti gli oceani del mondo. Inizia a navigare da ragazzino. Nel 1992 partecipa alle Colombiadi vincendo nella sua categoria. Nel 1994 si classifica secondo al rally atlantico A.R.C. Nel 1995 acquista il Mai Stracc, un Westerly 36. È il momento della svolta, è il momento in cui Andrea comincia a vivere il mare non solo come passione, ma soprattutto come scelta. Nel 2002 dopo 15 traversate atlantiche, passa in Pacifico e ne resta affascinato al punto da spingersi prima a 40 sud, in pieno autunno australe e in seguito a 62 nord. Dove con il Mai Stracc conosce gli iceberg. Sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa di diverso e vero, a volte intravisto in qualche atollo della Polinesia o delle Marshall, oppure riflesso nel ghiaccio. Ed è con questo spirito che il viaggio continua... Nel 2008 pubblica il suo primo libro: "Mai Stracc un viaggio che forse non finirà mai..."Oggi si sente in debito con il mare che ha creatola sua persona e cerca di ripagare questo debito dividendo la vita con chi per un attimo raggiunge Durlindana, cercando di mostrare un mondo diverso ma vero, abitato da gente diversa ma vera.

Andrea has spent his life sailing the world’s oceans. He began as a young boy, and by 1992 he was competing in the Colombiadi, where he won in his category. Two years later, he placed second in the A.R.C. Atlantic Rally. In 1995, Andrea bought Mai Stracc, a Westerly 36. This marked a turning point; it was the moment when the sea became more than a passion; it became a way of life. By 2002, after completing 15 Atlantic crossings, Andrea set his course to the Pacific Ocean. Captivated by this ocean, he ventured as far as 40° south and later to 62° north, where he encountered icebergs aboard the Mai Stracc. Andrea was driven by his constant search for something different, something real, which he sometimes found in a remote atoll in Polynesia or the Marshall Islands, sometimes in the ice. And it is in this spirit that his journey continues. In 2008, he published his first book, Mai Stracc: A Journey That May Never End...Today, Andrea feels a deep gratitude to the sea that shaped him. He wants to repay this debt by sharing his life and experiences aboard Durlindana, inviting others to discover a world that is different and real, like the people who inhabit it.
