Welcome reception
On the starting evening of our conference, Monday 1st of June, we would like to welcome you to Maastricht with a Reception at the historical halls of Maastricht's city hall. A prominent alderman will share a few words to welcome us in the city whilst we enjoy the refreshments.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner will be held on Wednesday evening at Landgoed Kasteel de Hogenweerth. This estate, located at the border of the city and next to the Maas Marina breathes luxury. We can enjoy the open bar and an informal standing dinner in modern Food Stand style. There will be something on offer for all tastes and life-styles.
To get all guests to the location we offer a coach leaving from a central point in the center of Maastricht. After the dinner you will be brought back to this same central point by coach.

For the Wednesday we'd like to offer you the choice between two informative social activities within a Maastricht theme.
Bosch Brewery
Experience and taste brewing history in this unique brewing complex.
Bosch Brewery (now a volunteer organisation) is Maastricht's last complete city brewery and still fully intact with its malt house, brewery and brewer's house!
Beer has been brewed here since 1758. In 1827, the brewery came into the hands of Nicolaas Bosch. He and his descendants expanded the brewery into one of the largest breweries in Maastricht.
In 1970, beer brewing came to an end. From that moment on, time stood still here! The five-storey malt house, the brewing equipment and the brewer's house give visitors a good idea of how beer was brewed a century ago and how the “Grand Chique de Maestricht” lived.
Discover the history of beer brewing in Maastricht during a tour through the centuries and brewing techniques. Of course, there will also be plenty of tasting!
Historic City Tour
Is beer not your thing? We completely understand. Therefor we offer an active walking tour of the Arts & Heritage of Maastricht. Take a look behind the facades of the University buildings and discover these monumental buildings with extraordinary works of art.
Universiteit Maastricht is located in a number of special buildings in the city, each with its own character and atmosphere. Behind the facades of these buildings, there are also unique works of art on display. The art and heritage route has brought all this cultural heritage together in a special walking route.
Accompanied by enthusiastic guides, beautiful murals, statues, paintings, reliefs, memorials and sculptures pass by!
