DESCRIPTION:The International Conference "Dark Matter and Stars: Multi-Mes
senger Probes of Dark Matter and Modified Gravity" aims to bring together
scientists working across the different research fields of astrophysics\,
cosmology\, and modified gravity. We want to look at the dark matter probl
em from different perspectives\, considering it to be of particle nature\,
as well as modification of gravity. This meeting is intended to initiate
cross-field discussions of dark matter searches\, their current status\, a
nd future prospects.\nCONFERENCE TOPICS\n\nDark matter in compact stars (n
eutron stars\, white dwarfs\, exotic stars)\nMulti-messenger and gravitati
onal wave probes of dark matter\nSupernovae simulations with dark matter\n
 Stars\, Sun-like stars\nExoplanets and brown dwarfs\nCosmology\nPrimordial
black holes\nModified gravity\nModels of dark matter\nDirect detection of
dark matter\n\n\nIn the framework of the conference\, we will host a spec
ial session dedicated to gravitational wave probes of dark matter\, with p
articular emphasis on current and next-generation gravitational wave detec
tors.\nWe seek to encourage dialogue between different research groups to
enhance collaboration and help to improve our understanding of dark matter
. The conference is also planned to introduce the dark matter research fie
ld to encourage attendance by young scientists including Ph.D. students.\n
The meeting will be held at the University of Southampton\, Southampton\,
United Kingdom. Registration opens at 8:15 am on Monday in the Mathematica
 l Sciences Student Centre\, Building 56\, Southampton SO17 1BJ (map link).
\nThe conference venue is in Room 4A\, Building 54\, 58 Salisbury Rd\, Sou
 thampton SO17 1BJ (map link).\n \nINVITED SPEAKERS\nDavid Cerdeño (Inst.
