Some suggestions for lunch in and around the Técnico (IST) campus, some can also be for dinner:
- Main IST canteen, in the south-east corner of the campus, in building number 13 offers a cheap lunch and dinner menu, with a vegetarian option available (THIS IS THE STUDENT'S CAFETERIA. YOU CANNOT FIND ANY PLACE CHEAPER THAN THIS ONE).
- Pingo Doce restaurant, in the north-west corner of building number two, has a better quality for a slightly higher price. (THE COUPONS FOR LUNCH ARE FOR THIS RESTAURANT). You can also go on your own but they do not accept cash. They only accept debit and credit cards.
- Complexo Interdisciplinar bar, in building 26 inside the campus, offers lunch dishes, sandwiches, pastries coffee at very reasonable prices.
- There is a bar in the main building of IST, building number one, that also offers lunch dishes, sandwiches, pastries coffee.
- Restaurante o Rei da Pescada, this is a restaurant that serves Portuguese specialities at very reasonable prices. Is is difficult to find a place for lunch but we recommend it for dinner. Av. Duque d'Ávila 17-19, Lisboa
- Restaurante O Rialva, right outside the campus, is a very affordable Portuguese restaurant and pastry shop. Av. Duque d'Ávila 2B, Lisboa
- Pastelaria Açúcar & Canela, pastry shop which also offers lunch dishes at very affordable prices. Av. Duque d'Ávila 6A, Lisboa
- Shree Ram, Indian restaurant, just outside Tecnico. This is a vegetarian restaurant offering also vegan dishes. Av. Duque d'Ávila 11-13, Lisboa
- Italy Caffé is an Italian Restaurant very close to Tecnico with good food. It offers pizzas, pastas and other types of dishes. Av. Duque d'Ávila 26B r/c, Lisboa
