Poster Presentations
In the Forum on Tracking Detector Mechanics series, we value the poster contributions highly and make a strong effort to help the participants find posters that are in their areas of interest.
Poster Instructions and Helpful Tips
Posters will be displayed in electronic form only through dedicated screens, whereas traditional printed versions will not be accepted. Participants presenting a poster contribution are kindly requested to provide:
- An electronic copy of their poster in .pdf format
- A close-up picture of the presenter in .jpeg format to be used for the poster display
All files should be uploaded on indico by Sunday, May 24, 2026. We kindly ask all the presenters to make sure the file names follow the instructions given in the "Uploading" section of this page.
The posters will be displayed on 50-inch screens, with an overall active area of 61.6 x 109.5 cm, and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, with a portrait orientation. The suggested size of the posters is SO 216 A1 standard: 59.4 x 84.1 cm, with an aspect ratio of 1:1.414. Due to the shape of the screen, and considering the space occupied by the top banner inserted by the system, an aspect ratio up to 1:1.5 can be effectively exploited. On the other hand, less oblong aspect ratios will result in a net loss of useful space at the bottom of the screen and are therefore discouraged.
The close-up picture of the presenter will be automatically included in the graphical display by the system, and there is no need for the authors to manually insert it in the layout of the poster. The same holds for any additional information related to the conference. The final display will include a QR code redirecting to the PDF file of the poster.

A few dedicated stations, equipped with a special presentation mode, will be available on site to browse the entire poster program for the entire duration of the conference. To maximize the visibility of their contributions, all presenters are therefore strongly encouraged to upload all the material by Sunday, May 24, 2026, so that it can be transferred to the browsing stations before the beginning of the conference.
Note that the electronic version of the poster provided by the author will be converted to a raster image for the purpose of the display on the conference screens, and presenters should avoid using exceedingly small graphical elements of any type and/or low-resolution plots and images. As a final cross-check prior to submission, you can convert your poster into a 4k raster image, (e.g. in .png or .jpeg format) and verify that it is displayed correctly on your computer screen.

Scheduling for Poster Presentations
The posters will be shown continuously in the “Sala Elena” room, in front of the Auditorium room. Please, stand beside your Poster Screen during the coffee breaks.
A Poster is a Presentation, Not Just an Object
One of the authors, or a colleague who is registered for the conference and who can speak knowledgeably about the material, must be physically near the poster during coffee breaks. Posters left abandoned, with no one nearby to answer questions, are much less valuable to other attendees.
