VISA
Whether or not you need a visa depends on your nationality and the country in which the school will be held. If you are not sure that you have the right to travel to the country in question, we suggest that you contact an embassy of your country of nationality, or a similar authority.
If you need to obtain a visa and would like us to provide you with a visa support letter for your application, please select the appropriate button when completing your registration form. If you are selected and need a visa, you need that your registration is completed with all required necessary actions including the registration fee payment. Please contact ASAP the CAS Secretariat (Accelerator.school@cern.ch) and provide us with your passport information in order to receive the invitation letter from our local organiser in UK.
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a new requirement for people who do not need a visa to come to the UK. It gives you permission to travel to the UK, and it is electronically linked to your passport.
You usually need an ETA rather than a visa if you’re from Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada or certain other countries.
An electronic travel authorisation (ETA) lets you travel to the UK for tourism, visiting family or certain other reasons for up to 6 months.
