How to reach INS

Access to Bucharest from abroad is available by air through Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP), which is located 16.5 km from downtown Bucharest. 

Transport from/to the airport

    • Bus 
      • The 783 Express line connects Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport with the city center (station "Piata Unirii 2") (the ticket price is 4.5 RON ~ 0.9 Euro). The bus stop is located at the ground floor of the Arrival terminal.
      • From station "Piata Unirii 2" you can walk 1.2 km to venue (Google map) or take subway M1 towards "Dristor" or M3 towards "Preciziei" for 1 stop and get off at station "Izvor", then walk for ~5 min (Google map).
    • Train 
      • From the airport take the train to Bucharest Central Railway Station "Gara de Nord" (the ticket price is 5 RON ~ 1 Euro).
      • From the Central Railway Station, you can take bus no. 123 for 7 stops and get off at station "Pod Izvor", then walk ~5 min (Google map). Alternatively, you can take subway M1 towards "Republica/Pantelimon" for 6 stops and get off at station "Izvor", then walk for ~5 min (Google map). The tickets cost 3 RON (~0.6 Euro) each.
    • Taxi
      • Taxis (with/without request) are available at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. For on-demand taxis, use the touch screen terminals available on the left side after existing the controlled Arrival area. The taxi station is located at the exit of the Arrival terminal, at the first floor (the average price is 20 Euro). Please do not respond to any person offering taxi services.

      • From the airport take DN1/E60 road direction Bucharest. When entering Bucharest follow the DN1/E60 and Pavel D. Kiseleff road to Victory Square. Then follow Buzești Street, Berzei Street, Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu Street, Natiunile Unite Boulevard and Constitutiei Square to Libertatii Boulevard. A Google map route can be found here. The usage of Google Maps / Waze is strongly recommended.
