 II (IT))\n\nRecently\, we presented an extension of the CoLoRFulNNLO local
  subtraction framework for radiative contributions in higher-order calcula
 tions. Specifically\, initial-state radiation has been regularized by intr
 oducing a relatively small number of counter-events and analytically integ
 rable counterterms. A little over a year since the release of the proof-of
 -concept code NNLOCAL\, which contains an implementation of this method\, 
 we discuss our ongoing efforts to transform it into a production-grade too
 l. In particular\, we highlight recent and upcoming improvements designed 
 to streamline its usability\, facilitate its extensibility\, and optimize
