 ome to the 48th CERN School of Computing (CSC 2026)\nThe school will take 
 place from August 23 to September 5 in Liverpool\, UK. This year's school 
 is organized in collaboration with the Liverpool University\, Department 
 of Physics and will be hosted at the Liverpool University premises.\nAcade
 mic Programme\nThe theme of the school is Scientific Computing: Theory and
  Practice. The two-week programme will consist of around 50 hours of lectu
 res and hands-on exercises\, covering three main themes:\n\nPhysics comput
 ing\nSoftware engineering\nData technologies. \n\nStudents who pass the f
 inal optional exam will receive a diploma from the CSC\, as well as ECTS c
 redits.\nOther activities\nHowever\, it's not all study\; the social and s
 port programme is also a vital part of the School. We will have ample oppo
 rtunities to explore and experience some of the great cultural\, historica
 l and natural attractions of Liverpool and its surroundings\, including vi
 sits to nearby Wales! Have a look at the timetable\, it will give you an i

 ange).\n\nThe application for this school is now open!\nImportant dates\n\
 nWednesday 18 March - applications open\nWednesday 29 April (midnight UTC+
 2 / CEST) - deadline for applications\nWednesday 6 May - invitations sent 
 to the selected participants\nWednesday 3 June - registration fee payment 
 deadline\nSunday 23 August (afternoon/evening) - student arrivals in Liver
 pool\, UK.\nSaturday 5 September  (morning) - departure\n\nWho can apply?
 \nThe School is aimed at postgraduate (ie. minimum of Bachelor's degree or
  equivalent) students\, engineers\, and scientists with a few years of exp
 erience in particle physics\, computing\, or in related fields. We welcome
  applications from all countries and nationalities. Applicants are respons
 ible for ensuring that their home institute or employer covers their regis
 tration fee and travel cost\, or\, failing this\, themselves. \nWe would
