 \nCoimbra welcomes the DRD1 Collaboration\nThe 8th edition of the DRD1 Col
 laboration Meeting will take place in Coimbra\, bringing together research
 ers from around the world working on the development of gas radiation dete
 ctors. Hosted in one of Portugal’s most historic academic cities\, the m
 eeting will provide an opportunity for collaboration\, discussion\, and ex
 change of ideas among experts advancing detector technologies and instrume
 ntation for particle physics and related fields.\n\nThis Collaboration Mee
 ting will be hosted by Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Par
 ticle Physics (LIP) and Physics Department of the University of Coimbra fr
 om the 29th June to 03rd July 2026.\nThe main topics addressed will be:\n\
 n\nDetector technologies (MPGD\, RPC\, Wire-based\, etc.)\n\n\nDetector ph
 ysics\n\n\nDetector performance\n\n\nSimulation and software\n\n\nElectron
 ics\n\n\nNew materials and Production techniques\n\n\nApplications and Fut
 ure perspectives\n\n\nIndustrialization\n\n\nImportant dates:\n\n\n23 Marc
 h: start of registration and young researchers grant application. \n\n\n
 30 April: deadline for young researchers grant application\n\n\n17 May: 
 \n\n\nannoucement of the young research grant recipients\n\n\nend of regis
 tration for the DRD1 Collaboration meeting\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n29 May: deadl
 ine for payment of early-registration fee for on-site participation. \n\
 n\n10 June: end of registration and payment of late-registration fee for 
 on-site participation. \n\n\n \nRegistration fees\nThe registration fees
  include all lunches and coffee-breaks through the week\, the gala dinner\
 , the social activity and the scientific activity\, as well as a welcome p
 ack and the participation in the welcome drink\n\n\nEarly-registration fee
 : 250 EUR (until 17 May)\n\n\nLate-registration fee: 350 EUR (from 18 May
