By coach: it will leave CERN on Sunday October 25 at 2pm and leave Clermont-Ferrand on Friday October 30 after lunch, at 2pm. Booking is done through registration and is limited to 50 seats.
By train: Clermont-Ferrand has direct train connections to Paris (3h30) and Lyon (2h30). From Geneva you can take the T.E.R. connecting through Lyon with a 12' connection in Lyon (that, in general ,is enough time). T.E.R. tickets are valid for the full day, so that you can take any train before or after the scheduled one. Check the official SNCF website here.
By bus: "FlixBus" and "BlaBlaBus" have several lines with stops at Clermont.
By car: Clermont is about 3h away from Geneva by highway. There is no free parking in the city center, but you can find options at the science campus and take the tram or at your hotel.
By plane: Clermont airport (CFE) with daily connection to Paris (3 flights per day), and twice per week connections to Porto and London (Stansted).

You can also reach the city center with a bus and Tram connection that takes 30/40' but runs not so frequently. Please note that the bus service ends at 7/8 pm in case you plan to arrive late.
