By car …
Louvain-la-Neuve is accessible via the E411, N4, and N25 motorways. Its town center is, for the most part, a pedestrian zone.
Note that the center of the city is fully pedestrian, with paid parking almost everywhere. Three car parks are accessible to all motorists, free of charge, on the outskirts of Louvain-la-Neuve.

No access permit or sticker is necessary to park your vehicle there.
By train…
Many stations are directly accessible from Louvain-la-Neuve, including along the line to Brussels. At Ottignies station, trains run to Brussels Airport, Namur, Charleroi, and Leuven.
Attention: Do not confuse Louvain-la-Neuve with Louvain (the French name for Leuven), which is another city on a different line.
- From Brussels
Allow approximately 30 minutes. A change is required at Ottignies, except for certain direct trains (which take slightly longer).
- From Namur or Charleroi
Change at Ottignies for trains to Louvain-la-Neuve.
- From Luxembourg Province
Take a train to Ottignies (changing at Namur if necessary), then a connecting train to Louvain-la-Neuve.
- From another country
