DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the World Quantum Day on April 12th\, BSC togethe
 r with CSUC will organize the 1st Pilot session of the International Quant
 um Computing Masterclass: an outreach event designed to raise awareness am
 ong young students on the transformative power of quantum technologies in 
 the field of information processing and computing .\n\n\n\nParticipants wi
 ll have the chance to experience firsthand the world of quantum computing 
 and use a Quantum Computer accessed in real-time\, provided by Galician Su
 puercomputing Center and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center\, and shared 
 their results with other centers ( CESGA-USC\, NASERTIC Navarra\, COMPUTAE
 X-CENITS\, UC Universidad de Cantabria\, UAM\, IST-Lisbon\, U. Warsow Pola
 nd)\nWe have organized a morning session from 10:00 to 14:30 (CEST) open t
 o college or undergraduate students\, consisting of:\n\n\nTalks by researc
 hers from different centers explaining the fundamentals and methods of fun
 damental quantum computing research to a group of students.\n\n\nA practic
 al case allowing participants to experience solving a problem by creating 
 a quantum circuit.\n\n\nTo conclude the session\, a simultaneous session i
 s organized among several international centers (via video conference) whe
 re students can discuss their results in a coordinated manner.\n\n\n \n*T
