DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ygor Aguiar (CERN/Universite Jean Monnet)\, Ruben Ga
rcia Alia (CERN)\n\nContinued Development of SEE Test Facilities and Progr
ams at MSU\n\nFSEE beam line\nMichigan State University’s Facility for R
are Isotope Beams (FRIB) continues to develop heavy ion delivery capabilit
ies for single event effect studies and device validation. This talk will
discuss several new developments. This first is the commissioning and star
t of operations of a dedicated facility based on our K500 cyclotron\, incl
uding ongoing improvements of our dosimetry and experimental controls. The
second is the development of a second beamline on the FRIB linac to deliv
er 160-300 MeV/u heavy ions to add capacity for high energy heavy ion test
ing. The third is the expansion of workforce development efforts within th
e MSU Space Electronics Initiative and our yearly SEE Bootcamp programs.\n
Speaker:\n\n \nDr. Steve Lidia (Michigan State University)\nDr. Steve Lid
ia is a Senior Scientist at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at
Michigan State University\, and an Adjunct Professor in the Departments of
Physics and Astronomy and Electrical and Computer Engineering. He special
izes in accelerator physics and engineering\, leading a technical departme
nt in Beam Instrumentation and Measurements. Since 2021\, he has been the
principal investigator and manager of the FRIB Single Event Effects beamli
 ne\, and co-PI for K500 SEE facility.     \n \nRegistration is open!\n
