 , the leading hadronisationcorrection is usually represented as a shift of
  the perturbative distribution. Recent work has shown that this shift is n
 ot necessarily constant\, as was often assumed for many standard observabl
 es\, but can instead vary appreciably with the value of the event shape. T
 hese recent studies have focused on configurations in which an ultra-soft 
 non-perturbative gluon is emitted from a perturbative three-parton state\,
  which gives the dominant contribution in the three-jet region. Closer to 
 the Sudakov peak\, however\, the event-shape distribution is controlled by
  multiple soft and/or collinear emissions\, and the non-perturbative shift
  is typically evaluated in a simplified picture involving only two hard em
 itters. In this talk\, I will report on recent efforts to merge the two-je
 t and three-jet limits\, with the aim of obtaining the most complete avail
 able description of hadronisationcorrections across the event-shape spectr
