DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Claudio Cipriani (CERN)\n\nWelcome to our series ded
 icated to the Ritmo con Señas (Rhythm with Signs).\nThis method was deve
 loped in Buenos Aires by Argentine musician and composer Santiago Vazquez 
 as a way to organize collective musical improvisation through a shared voc
 abulary of gestures. It draws inspiration from traditional percussion musi
 c and makes it possible for people from different backgrounds—even those
  with little or no musical experience—to play improvised music together.
 \nA conductor uses hand and body signs to give real-time suggestions to th
 e musicians\, facilitating various aspects of the music. \nWhile the meth
 od can be quite sophisticated in terms of technique\, the focus is not on 
 the technical performance of each individual\, but on the experience of ma
 king music together\, regardless of the composition of the group.\nSo\, be
  prepared to keep it simple but groovy\, to listen as much as possible\, a
 nd to share music with people of completely different skill levels and exp

 on Indico. However\, in case of overcrowding\, participants who attend one
  or both introductory sessions and are registered on Indico will be given 
 priority. \nSome instruments will be available\, but feel free to bring y
 our own instrument (both percussion and melodic instruments are welcome)\,
  keeping in mind that not everything can be easily amplified.\nPlease unsu
