DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Maxim Pospelov\n\nAbstract:\nThe existence of dark m
 atter and neutrino masses and mixing\, the prevalence of matter over antim
 atter in the Universe\, the apparent fine-tuning of the electroweak scale\
 , and the absence of CP violation mediated by the strong force are the big
  unanswered questions of modern particle physics.  They often motivate st
 udies of feebly interacting particles\, or FIPs\, and in this talk I will 
 describe a new emerging research direction in particle physics that system
 atizes and guides the experimental searches. I give an overview of the mos
 t interesting FIP physics targets\, and worldwide efforts to discover FIPs
  or limit their existence.\nBio: \nMaxim Pospelov is a professor of physi
 cs at the School of Physics and Astronomy\, University of Minnesota\, and 
 a member of William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute. He has over 35 
 years of experience in theoretical physics research. His past research foc
 used on indirect probes of the Standard Model via flavor physics and elect
 ric dipole moments. Pospelov has been instrumental in developing the FIP/d
 ark sector theories and suggested novel FIP signatures that were pursued i
