European HTC workshop prep meeting 8-07-2026

Todd is not 100% convinced by the IBIS budget as it seems very cheap, he will look for options and let's us know
IGWIN monday
Mary got a long, provisionally agenda and some confirmed participants for monday, some more personal invitations will be issued by her, start for the monday meeting is 9:15
Rubin observatory
LSST is running condor glide-ins and we hope to attract some local speakers, Vanessa contacts Fabio about it.
Glideins in general
Become more important maybe due to current HW shortage (?) Pepe states Barcelona SCC has provided 15million hours and '+' by glideins He will give an update about it during the week
List of talks by HTC
Todd will submit abstracts of the possible talks by the team and hopes for some being dropped to lower the workload
Security
CERN confirmed to give a security talk we try to focus on how to setup a pool in order to be prepared for frequent security issues and how to implement mitigations and fixes elegantly
Auditor
has become kind of a standard and I will try to talk Dirk Sammel into giving an update
Myron
is supposed to give intros and outros to the themed blocks
AI
We would like to theme blockt to AI including the three aspects
- training AI modles using condor
- AI replacing submission frameworks as DAGman on the userside
- AI helping to understand HTC (user & adminwise)
Mary has some good candiadtes to give talks on the subject and Todd contacts 'Chicago' HTC26 speaker or one of the team they seem to be ahead of the game with AI vs. HTC
Lunch
3 day there will be a canteen suplied lunch , friday lunch packages
