News

JR: PyHEP.dev 2026 from Sept 7-9 in Amsterdam. Could be interesting for someone in the team to go. Abstract submissions are open, deadline is Aug 14.

Shift handover

OC: Nothing to report. Everything is green except for ROOT main Windows, BB is looking into it. Two macOS updates, no problems afterwards.
JR: Ferdi made the unuran RNG package available on homebrew. Maybe we can try this out and see if we can turn off the builtin.
OC: We don't use brew (we use MacPorts), so we cannot try this.
JB: Should we use brew?
JR: It is nowadays more popular than MacPorts, so it could make sense to migrate. This is a bigger undertaking, so should be done with care.
