ation in the Time of Tension(s)\nProf.
\nAbstract\nSince the seminal works of Einstein (1915/1916) and Friedmann
(1922)\, cosmology has been established itself as a theoretically well-fou
nded branch of physics. In the 1960s\, the "Standard Cosmological Model" w
as formulated and subsequently validated by a wealth of observational data
\, most notably the discovery of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). Ho
wever\, the model faced fundamental open questions\, which were largely ad
dressed in the 1980s by the theory of cosmological inflation. The extraord
inary technological progress in astrophysical measurements revealed the pr
oblem of "missing mass" (Dark Matter) and ``the accelerated expansion of t
he universe`` over the last few billion years (Dark Energy and the Cosmolo
gical Constant\, Λ). These discoveries led to the complete formulation of
the current standard model of cosmology\, the (Λ)CDM model. Today\, this
exciting century-long journey through cosmology faces new challenges\, hi
ghlighted by the verified Hubble tension - arising from conflicting values
for the expansion (Hubble) rate (H(t)) of the universe obtained via two r
obust methodologies (CMB and Type Ia Supernovae). This is further compound
ed by recent tensions related to CMB spectrum measurements (e.g.\, from th
e Planck mission) and the structure of the universe in very early evolutio
nary epochs (revealed by DESI\, ACT\, etc.). The final part of this lectur
e is dedicated to the fundamental physics of the inflationary period and t
he Planck scale. We address the missing links between string/brane theory
 scales and single-field (slow-roll) inflation. Specifically\, we present a
highly accessible tachyon field Lagrangian dynamics. This approach offers
an intriguing and\, paradoxically\, straightforward framework for student
s and researchers alike who possess a foundational command of classical La
grangian mechanics.\nPlease download "Biography GDJ and Announcement" at t
