Dusan Vudragovic September, 2007 Major work for SEE-GRID; major changes in workplan ---------------------------------------------------------------- - Working on web application which will be framework for DN based uploading and creation of repositories - Grid-Operator-On-Duty for one week (September 17-24) - Article about WiatG for SEE-GRID newsletter http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=22023 - Preparing WiatG presentation for SEE-GRID-2 PSC05 http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=0&resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=20116 - Minutes from SEE-GRID-2 PSC05 http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=0&resId=0&materialId=minutes&confId=20116 - SEE-GRID helpdesk activities This month I worked on new web application called Dwarf. This will be framework for DN base RPMs uploading and creation of APT/YUM repositories. In SEE-GRID-2 project a lot people are creating RPMs for different purposes which can be downloaded from different sites. In this way updates of these RPMs are not trivial, they cannot be made automatic, so administrators should check many pages in order to find latest versions. Installation of APT/YUM repository is the solution for this problem, but if you have a project with large number of countries and people which produce RPMs, such as SEE-GRID-2, then you need a framework that should provide different privileges for different users for different paths of APT/YUM repository. It should provide RPMs uploading and creation of APT/YUM repositories. Since solution for this problem still doesn’t exist I started to create this tool. One week of September I spent as Grid-Operator-On-Duty. During this GOOD shift 5 new tickets were created and several tickets were updated. Status of the tickets in SEE-GRID-2 Helpdesk after this week is given below Number of not closed tickets: 38 Number of open tickets: 9 Number of tickets in progress status: 21 Number of tickets in waiting for response status: 3 Number of unassigned tickets: 5 During the month I wrote article for SEE-GRID newsletter about WiatG tool http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=22023, prepared presentation about WiatG current status and further development plan for SEE-GRID-2 PSC05 http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=0&resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=20116, and wrote minutes from the same meeting http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=0&resId=0&materialId=minutes&confId=20116. A part from this, I was occupied with standard SEE-GRID operational activities.
