The conference will take place at the Lecture Hall (Hörsaal 28D001) of the Physics Institute of the RWTH University, Otto-Blumenthal-Str. 1, 52074 Aachen, Germany
The location of the lecture hall 28D001 (Hörsaal der Physik) is shown in the image below. The entrance to the lecture hall is inside the physics centre. You need to enter the Physikzentrum and go to the first floor level 28A (red corridor). Directly next to the main entrance of the Physikzentrum you find the entrance to the lecture hall. In front of this entrance will be our helpdesk and the coffee brakes will take place in this foyer.
The PI meetings (by invitation) will take place in the Physikzentrum in the Seminarraum 28B201 on the 2nd floor (blue).

Arrival by car
At Autobahnkreuz Aachen, the intersection of A4 and A44, take A4 heading towards Heerlen (NL). Leave the autobahn at exit "Aachen Laurensberg/AC-Uniklinik" and take the freeway towards Aachen-Innenstadt (Aachen center). Follow the signs RWTH Melaten, which will guide you into a short tunnel. After you have left this tunnel, take the second exit of the traffic circle to Forckenbeckstraße. After approximately 400 meters there is a parking area to the left of Forckenbeckstraße. Please take the stairs opposite the parking area, which lead away from the bus stop towards the street Otto-Blumenthal-Straße. The buidling across this street is the Physikzentrum.
If you want to park in the university parking lot (lightblue framed area or directly at the physic centre) you need a parking permit as a guest. Please contact in advance our secretary so that we can organize a parking permit for you. Free parking along the Forckenbeckstreet is possible but these lots are rare and normally occupied already very early in the morning.
Arrival by train
Please use the journey planer by Deutsche Bahn to calculate the best route to "Campus Melaten (Physikzentrum), Aachen". This route will likely include either of three railway stations, Aachen Hbf, Aachen West or Aachen Schanz. From there you have to continue by bus (see below).
Alternatively, you could take a taxi to Physikzentrum (part of Campus Melaten) which should take about 15 minutes.
Arrival by plane
Aachen is close to the airports Dusseldorf, Cologne-Bonn and Aachen-Maastricht.
From Dusseldorf and Cologne-Bonn it takes about 2 hours by plublic transport to the Physics Center. By car you will reach the Physics Center in about 1 hour.
From the airport Maastricht you can reach Aachen by public transport in about 1 hour, by car it will take about 30 minutes.
Arrival by bus
