  Join us as a science show presenter!\nWhat is a science show?\nCERN's sci
 ence shows are interactive demonstrations in front of an audience in Scien
 ce Gateway Auditorium. They present various topics related to CERN - and b
 eyond. The science shows are guided by scripts - but they do not need to b
 e learnt off by heart.\nWhat is "Journey through a Detector" about?\nParti
 cle physicists are almost like detectives – just without the magnifying 
 lenses and weird hats. Both are relying on their powers of deduction to fi
 nd the culprit who left weird tracks. Which particle was it? Where did it 
 come from? And\, if no one really saw it\, was it ever really there?\nThis
  science show explores the world of detectors\, specifically the CMS detec
 tor\, by following particles through the different layers of the detector.
  The principle of detection within the main levels is explained using simp
 le experiment and beautiful animations.\nScience show Journey through a De
 tector is accessible as of 12 years old and lasts about 45 minutes.\nWha
 t will the training be like?\nThe training will be in English and will la
 st 2 hours. This includes:\n\nWelcome and auditorium walkthrough\n\nSafet
 y\, trainings\, and resources overview\n\n\nShow script and experiments br
 iefing \n\n\nHands-on practice and Q&A\n\n\n \nAll essential resources f
 or this training can be accessed through SCIENCE SHOWS | CERN Guides.\nAdd
 itional training requirements:\nIf you have the opportunity\, come and wat
 ch the Journey through a Detector show in Science Gateway on the week of t
 he 1st September! (programme here one week in advance) \nYou don't need t
 o have any other courses already done before joining the training. However
