 erto Pace (CERN)\n\nThe 3rd CERN School of Computing on IT Services will 
 take place on November 9-13\, 2026 in Ferney Voltaire\, France. The school
  will be hosted at the Appart City hotel. \nThe school on IT Services ai
 ms to empower CERN members of personnel (including Students\, Fellows\, Or
 igin\, Quests\, Staff\, and Users) to get the most out of the computing se
 rvices delivered by the CERN IT Department to the physics community.\nThe 
 school is recommended for any person that is using the CERN IT services ei
 ther to deliver information\, analyse data\, automate tasks or work in eng
 ineering projects. We expect participation from both active users who woul
 d like to be more proficient and newcomers at CERN that would like to disc
 over and get an introduction to the ecosystem of computing services availa
 ble to all CERN users. The school is not open to persons without a CERN st
 atus.\nThe school will focus on solutions for everyday problems and it wil
 l address several use cases with hands-on sessions and demonstrations such
  as:\n\nSoftware development and hosting\, including software maintenance 
 strategies\nReproducible data analysis and reusable containers for scienti
 fic workflows\nUsing the Data Center infrastructure for Machine Learning a
 pplications\nInformation and data management\, including information publi
 shing through the creation and maintenance of web sites\n\nSeveral IT serv
 ices are covered\, including Git\, Jira\, MS Forms\, Dockers\, Continuous 
 Integration\, CERN SSO (Single Sign-on)\,  tokens\, Authorization API\, e
 -groups / roles\, Database on Demand Service\, Swan\, Reana\, WordPress\, 
 WebEOS\, SharePoint\, EOS\, CERNBOX\, CEPH\, …\nIn addition the school h
 as the ambition to improve the participants personal networking with membe
 rs of the IT department and exchange ideas on the future evolution of its 
 services as the lecturers are technology experts or service managers from 
 the IT department.\nThe number of participants will be limited to approxim
 ately 40 students. The programme offers 26 hours of lectures and hands-on 
 exercises\, as well as student presentation sessions. The school is non-re
 sidential\, lunches and one dinner will be provided and are included in th
 e fee.\nImportant dates 2026\n\nSeptember 7 - application opens\nOctober 1
