 to request CERN access cards.\n\nThe author of the new book "How to Build 
 a Universe" will give a talk at the CERN Library:\nWhat is the universe ma
 de of\, and how do we know? This is the central question of my upcoming bo
 ok\, "How to Build a Universe (Theoretically Speaking)." In this talk\, I'
 ll discuss some of the most intriguing connections between particle physic
 s and cosmology and the challenges of translating complex\, mathematical t
 heories to the general public.\nThe event will be followed by a Q&A. The b
 ook will be published in March 2027. \n\n\nAbout the author: \nDr Kather
 ine (Katie) Mack is a theoretical astrophysicist who studies a range of qu
 estions in cosmology\, the study of the universe from beginning to end. Sh
 e currently holds the position of Hawking Chair in Cosmology and Science C
 ommunication at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics\, where sh
 e carries out research on dark matter and the early universe and works to 
 make physics more accessible to the general public. She is the author of t
 he book "The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking)" and has written
  for a number of popular publications\, such as Scientific American\, Slat
 e\, BBC’s Science Focus\, Sky & Telescope\, and Cosmos Magazine. You can
