  have observed an excess in the ttbar production cross section near the pr
 oduction threshold\, potentially signaling the formation of a ttbar bound 
 state. This result has sparked renewed theoretical interest in describing 
 and simulating threshold ttbar production at colliders. After briefly revi
 ewing the experimental status\, I will discuss some of the current theoret
