DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ignacio Ruiz Garcia\n\nTitle: How to (Non-)Perturb a
BPS Black Hole\nAbstract: We relate the structure of non-perturbative cor
rections to BPS black hole observables in flat-spacetime theories with cer
tain properties of probe charged particles in the near-horizon geometry. C
oncretely\, we consider 4d N=2 supergravity with an infinite tower of F-te
rms and probe branes in AdS2 x S2 backgrounds threaded by constant electri
c-magnetic fields. The higher dimensional operators we pick are computed b
y Type II topological string theory\, and we approximate them via the cons
tant map contribution. We analyze the resulting force conditions on massiv
e particles carrying dyonic charges\, their classical trajectories\, and t
he 1-loop effective action they produce. We reproduce the Gopakumar--Vafa
integral of the flat-spacetime theory\, now evaluated in the black hole at
tractor geometry. Thus\, we make explicit how the physics of the fully bac
kreacted black hole solution is controlled by the behaviour of the light D
-brane states which generate the relevant set of higher derivative correct
ions. We conclude commenting on the stability of the non-BPS system.\n\nht
